For a 2026 Fitrana payment, use the rate and distribution guidance for the provider and community you followed that year. There was no single universal GBP amount for every provider. Fitrana is separate from the 2.5% annual wealth calculation.

## Use a provider-specific rate

The cash equivalent depends on the food measure and distribution approach used. Confirm the published 2026 rate from your chosen mosque or organisation. This page no longer presents an unverified £5–£7 range as a universal amount.

## Check the historical Eid deadline

Distribution is intended before the Eid prayer, with an organisation’s collection deadline often earlier. Use the confirmed Eid date followed by your community and the provider’s deadline, not an old prediction. This page does not claim one date was observed everywhere.

## A household example

For four people and an illustrative provider rate of £5 per person, the total is £20. If the provider used £7, the total would be £28. This demonstrates the calculation; it does not select the religiously appropriate rate or responsibility for your household.

## If a payment was missed

Ask a qualified scholar how to address a missed payment rather than assuming the obligation disappears after Eid. Keep the year, intended recipients, amount and any later payment recorded separately from annual wealth Zakat.
