The parent charity’s second object is emergency food, drinking water and shelter for families displaced by disasters in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Local partners deliver it. We do not run camps. On this site, give those gifts as Sadaqah unless the family has been poverty-verified as Zakat-eligible. Medical Zakat — cataract surgery and cancer treatment — stays on the named-patient path. Disaster displacement is not, by itself, a Zakat category. ## What do emergency gifts buy? Safe drinking water when the usual source is cut off, food rations for the first days and weeks, and temporary shelter — tarpaulins, tents or materials — when homes are flooded or destroyed. Not long-term reconstruction.
