# Understanding the 100% donation policy

Read what World Aid Network says about its donation policy and the details donors should confirm before giving.

World Aid Network advertises a 100% donation policy on its main website. Donors should check the current policy’s scope, including administration, card fees, restricted funds and any shortfall funding. A headline percentage does not by itself establish a payment’s Zakat eligibility or an independently audited outcome.

## What to verify before giving

Ask whether “100%” refers to the amount charged to your card, the net amount received, funds allocated to programmes or the amount ultimately spent on an individual’s care. These are different measures. Request the applicable policy and current financial information rather than assuming a particular accounting mechanism.

## Zakat and restricted donations

If you select Zakat, ask how the organisation records that restriction, verifies eligible recipients and handles the relevant ownership or agency requirements. A hospital-direct payment needs an appropriate religious framework; a no-cash policy alone does not settle the question.

If a chosen programme cannot use a restricted donation, ask about reallocation, consent and refunds. Keep the receipt and any terms that apply to your gift.

## Gift Aid is not currently promised

The parent website reported registration in progress and Gift Aid not yet available when checked on 8 September 2026. We have removed claims that Gift Aid is already covering administration. HMRC recognition and donor eligibility must be confirmed before Gift Aid is offered.
